Machu Picchu Iguazu Falls tours have the best of Argentina and Peru in one easy trip.

The Inca people are one of the best known of the ancient South American cultures because they built many impressive palaces, temples and cities. A trip to Machu Picchu includes the highlights of these endeavors. The trip will start off from the ancient city of Cusco. This is worth a visit to Peru in itself. The modern and traditional mix in a charming way to offer indigenous art next to modern gastronomy and world class hotels.

Peru is one of the most interesting countries in the world with an incredible variety of wildlife and cultural activities. A trip to Machu Picchu starts off from the old Inca capital city, Cusco. It is high in the Andes mountains and a beguiling mixture of the old & new. Indigenous culture is still everywhere along with modern hotels and restaurants.

Aguas Calientes is the town closest to the Machu Picchu. It has a tropical feel as the area is in the high jungle. Tours can either visit for the day or stay in the town and enjoy the hummingbirds, orchids and the hot springs.

From Peru it is possible to travel overland or by air to Argentina to see Iguazu Falls, a truly breathtaking place. The falls are situated on the border with Brazil in an area of amazing natural beauty. There are nearly three hundred waterfalls of various sizes which make up Iguazu. They can be viewed from walkways and viewing platforms and also by boat.

Iguazu Falls is a short plane ride or you can take a bus from the capital. It is the most impressive collection of waterfalls the world has to offer with almost three hundred in one area. The site has lots of walkways and trails in the jungle so that you can see the falls and the surrounding wildlife at your leisure. These days South America is considered a largely safe destination but it is not as developed as other destinations in Asia, Europe and the United States. Travelling independently can be challenging and time consuming, especially if you do not speak Spanish. Taking an organised tour is the perfect way to see exactly what you want without the hassle.

Local guides can really make a trip. Their knowledge and connections mean that their passengers get the best experiences. Tours always include a guide to help travelers see what interests them and sort out those niggling problems that can crop up.
