People have been capturing animals since time immemorial, sometimes doing it for food or as a sport. The fun in bear hunting in Utah is something many people, not only in Utah but even in the environs look forward to. It is authorized there as long as one follows the guidelines that are given to go bear hunting.

There are many types of bears. The one found in Utah is the black bear. It has become so popular that people take holidays just for that. Dogs have been trained to help in the hunt and people go for trips just in search of them. They put up in camps and wait for days until they sport the bears, following them till they get them.

There are also trained guides who help the people who go for the hunting trip. These guides are licensed and authorized to guide and protect people in the camps. It is easier to use this guides as they know the areas well and as they get trained on what to do in case of any dangers. They know the tactics to use to lure the bears without causing any troubles like harming the people. They know the areas where people are allowed to hunt.

People can also book the tents that are for hire in the camping sites that are set up in specific areas where camping is allowed. It is easier to hire the tents because most of them have a package where you get to hire the tents, meals are provided, clean water. One only has to carry their sleeping bags and have proper clothing as tough weather might be experienced mostly at night.

Safety precautions have been put in place in case of any mishaps. One has to make sure they clean the places where they take their meals well so as not to leave particles of food that could attract the bears. Proper lighting should be put at night. Make sure you have the authorities contacts so as to report if you see a bear around. Kids should always be accompanied by adults to avoid wandering far into the camps alone.

The weapons used when out hunting are like guns, bows, arrows and spears. If one makes any noise while out hunting, the bears might run away making it hard to get them so silence must be observed. Traps are also set on the bear way. It is good to set the traps a few weeks before going out hunting. In the traps food that have a strong smell are put to attract them.

In the event that one sees a bear walking around and they sense danger, they should try and fight the bears using the weapons they had. If you happen to shoot one dead make sure you report to the necessary people. Never go up a tree because they can climb trees.

All in all we see that bear hunting is fun if you follow all the instructions given and hire a trained guide to make work easier for you. It is also cheaper as you do not have to do your own cooking, or carry a tent.
