Many places that one can visit in the Los Angeles area that are comfortable and inexpensive, some are trendy and others may be the place of the moment according to local media. Even if a person does not have a car, they do not have to go to the usual trendy places to get good food. The South Bay area is near not only the 405 but also it is also home to many Redondo Beach seafood restaurants.

Close to the 405 freeway, the city of Redondo Beach has a lot to offer in terms of fine shops and restaurants. Many small eateries along Artesia Boulevard and inside the South Bay Galleria serve seafood for lunch and dinner. However, anyone that visits the Pier has hit the seafood jackpot, as it is right on the ocean.

Directly on the ocean just east of PCH, there is a wide range of restaurants that a person can choose from that serve mouthwatering dishes. Along the Pier are places that prepare quick foods like fish tacos, shrimp skewers, and other appetizers like crab cakes. At many of these places, the fish is freshly caught, there are many varieties, and is inexpensive.

On the Pier itself, many casual restaurants give guests a view of the ocean as well as other features. Although things are pretty quiet during the day, there are shows of various kinds in the evening. It is safe to assume that some of the restaurants have a dress code that requires a person wear a simple shirt and shoes in order to be served.

Then there are places like Tony's, also known as Old Tony's on the Pier, which is considered as the place for seafood. It sits atop the Pier and reservations are highly recommended on evenings and weekends. Their dishes range from simple appetizers to succulent meals that will have a person licking their fingers. They also have an unusual cocktail menu and live entertainment by established performers.

Chain restaurants like the Cheesecake Factory and Joe's Crab Shack are also old favorites that offer many excellent food choices while dining in a cozy environment. There are also a few sushi restaurants that offer karaoke performances that are open to anyone brave enough to join the fun. Some people enjoy these performances as much as they do the food.

When it comes to parking at the Pier, one should come with a game plan. If a person anticipates staying for more than a few hours, then they may want to go with the underground parking. Though some restaurants have valet parking, it is best to check if they validate. Metered parking and street parking are the least expensive options but not as safe.

Whether a person is visiting the Pier or any other Redondo Beach attractions, there are sure to have an adventure. While not as crowded as the Westside or distant as the south beaches, this area offers ease while driving as well as interacting with the local culture. Anyone looking to visit Redondo Beach seafood restaurants will find it to be a welcome change from typical Los Angeles dining.
