The best time for you to meditate is the time that you will do it! It is the time that works best in your schedule. It is the time that is easiest for you. If you choose a time that is convenient for your lifestyle, you will find the experience more appealing and more natural. In my view, this is the best way to answer the question, "When is the best time to meditate for greatest benefits?" If that is a sufficient answer for you, there is really no need to read further. I hope you will, though.

For the next week, experiment with a different meditation method each day and note down the effects. You'll then have a much clearer idea of the best meditation method for you.Breathing meditation. This is one of the simplest meditation techniques and focusing on your breathing is quick and easy.Walking meditation. Take a leisurely walk. Breathe in the air. Notice the sounds and smells!High tech meditation. Put on your headphones and a binaural beats track. Sit back and let the technology do the rest.Mantra meditation. Repeat your

Candle meditation. Light a candle somewhere safe, sit down and focus on the candle flame. Let all other thoughts drift out of your mind. Keep focussed on the flickering flame. Guided meditation. Put on your headphones and listen to a pre-recorded guided meditation talk you through the process of relaxing your body and clearing your mind. Mirror gazing. No, you're not doing an impression of Narcissus! Simply gaze into your reflected image. Focus on the wall just behind your head. Let all other thoughts fall out of your mind.

Whenever a person is having trouble with focus or concentration, as they meditate, the number of random thoughts occurring slowly diminishes, as does a person's attachment to these thoughts, and your identification with them. This happens because we are usually not aware of all the mental activity that we are generally engaged in. Meditation helps to allow the mind's activity to settle down, resulting in you becoming more calm and focused.

To make progress in meditation it is important to meditate at least once a day. If you are inspired then it is good to meditate 3 times a day. Regularity is very important for increasing your meditation capacity. Some people may say it is very hard to find time in a busy day to meditate. However if you really value something then you will find time. 3 times a day we find time to feed the body. We should also feel the necessity of feeding our soul, our inner being. If we value meditation then we will not want to miss our regular period of silence.

According to health experts, the following physiological effects of meditation have been documented in individuals who practice this time-tested technique, and among these are reduced blood pressure, lower pulse rate, decreased metabolic rate and changes in the concentration of serum levels of various substances. If a person meditates frequently, they will, in the long run, find out that they gain a deeper understanding and insight, of themselves.

Rosemary. This soothing herbal concoction can help ward off headaches. This fragrant spice-shelf herb is not only good for perking up roasts and poultry, this can also help prevent certain kinds of stress-induced headaches. Since rosemary helps keep blood vessels dilated, it can prevent headaches caused by vasoconstriction, wherein blood vessels narrow. For preparing a tea, use 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary per cup of boiling water.

Chamomile. This herb is effective for soothing the tummy, as well as the soul. With a mild, relaxing and delicate flavor, this herb contains oils that relax the smooth muscles in the stomach. Taking three cups daily helps to ease indigestion, irritable bowel problems, and colitis. Be sure to select 100 percent pure chamomile flowers with a strong, fresh apple aroma. Use 1 tablespoon of flowers per cup of boiling water. Take for 2 months or more if your experience chronic problems.

If you have time to meditate during the day that is good, however it may be difficult to go deep, so a short meditation may be appropriate. Whatever time you meditate it is important to give the meditation a high priority. It is better to meditate once a day with our full attention and focus, rather than sit down several times a day with thoughts going through our mind.Whatever time you choose and this may vary depending upon personal circumstances it is important to try and stick to your fixed time. Like regularity, punctuality is also very beneficial for making our meditation more powerful. It is like eating food, at a certain time we become ready for food. At another time we may become ready for meditation. Our inner being will be more receptive.
