Panama is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. This is complemented by the fact that the people who live in this South America country enjoy a lot of freedom. The freedom of movement makes is very easy for the citizens to move around the country without any fear or restrictions. The freedom of press and access to information makes living there worthwhile. The people are free to join any religion that they feel it is best suited for them. This makes retiring in Panama very peaceful for the faithful.

The nation was under the rule of dictators for quite some time. The tyrannies used the military to oppress the citizens. The Panamanians were slaves for quite some years. They did not have a say in the matters of national importance. With time, the people organized themselves and rose against the oppressive government. After the uprising, the nation decided to get rid of the military to avoid being used by the dictatorial rulers.

The great Panama Canal cuts through the nation diving it into two. This canal connects the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. The canal provides the international shipping industry with a shortcut between the two oceans. This industry raises revenues for the nation. The canal is also one of the tourist sites in this country.

The country has very rich history and cultural values. The middle class have a very sound belief in the value of hard work. With the canal and other sources of income, the people here strive to make their nation proud. The farmers on the west coast produce a variety of crops which feed the nation. Most of the working middle class are employed in towns around the nation.

The people of this country used to be friendly and peaceful. Those who later migrated into the country picked these traits. The Panamanians are generally friendly and peace loving people. They are admired across the world for their warm hearts. Visitors are dearly welcomed into the country in good will. If one visits a Panamanian home, they are warmly received and treated very well. This has been one of the driving forces of these people.

Panama is a very beautiful country. The beauty is enhanced by a number of mountains that cuts across the country. The mountain ranges disappear into the west. The cool climate means that the country receives a lot rain. This supports the agricultural industry. The eastern coastline is very was since it lies within the tropics. This acts as a major tourist attraction. Millions and millions of tourists stream into the country very year. This generates a lot of revenue for the tropical country.

The cost of living in this great country is very low. With the retirement benefits, one can survive in the country for quite some years without working. There are cheap homes around the cities. One can also opt to retire into the villages and lead a very simple life.

For a number of years, the population of this country was relatively low. The government embarked on the mission to attract more foreigners to come and live in the expansive, scarcely populated woods. This means if one is contemplating of retiring in Panama, the government is already welcoming you.
