Below are listed, by season, some of the Spring and Summer events you won't want to miss. SPRING: APRIL. Art in the Park. Naples Art Association sponsors an outdoor exhibition and sale at Cambier Park. Mike Ditka & Jim Hart Celebrity Golf. To benefit the Foundation for the Immokalee Child Care Center for low income, migrant and homeless families, the Mike Ditka & Jim Hart Celebrity Golf Invitational takes place at the Golf Club of the Everglades near Naples with a celebrity pairing cocktail party, lunch, auction, awards and more, plus the golf tournament. Concord Jazz Festival. Jet Blue Airways and the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts sponsor a recital by jazz musicians who have appeared on the Concord label, at Hayes Hall. Relay for Life of Naples. Willing to walk all night to end cancer, more than 3,000 friends and neighbors gather to help celebrate a Decade of Hope in this overnight event that includes an opening survivor lap, luminara ceremony, caregiver celebration, live entertainment, and closing ceremony. Miss Marine Queen Scholarship Pageant. College age contestants compete for $500 and $1,000 scholarships at the Norris Community Center in Naples, sponsored by The Marine Industries Association of Collier County. Naples Craft Festival - Spring. More than 100 of the country's best crafters will exhibit their work, including jewelry, 3-D acrylic paintings, ceramics, driftwood, glass, and hand-cut silhouettes, along 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples, along with a Green Market offering hand-made soaps, exotic orchids and others plants. Artescape Naples. The Gallery Victoria sponsors a competition of Florida artists where attendees are given an opportunity to vote on the works, as well as meet some of the artists, in preparation for the annual Outstanding Artists of Florida Exhibition, held in May. Latin American Family Festival. The best in Latin music, food, arts and crafts is showcased, along with health screenings, health care information and community networking opportunities, at the Golden Gate Community Center in Naples. Taste of Marco. Marco Eagle and M&I Bank present a festival of food featuring the creations of Marco's finest restaurants, children's activities including a bounce house, giant climbing wall and face painting stations, and live music. This is a family day of fun, food and excitement. Venetian Carnivale. The Village on Venetian Bay at 4200 Gulf Shore Boulevard celebrates over 20 years of shopping and dining with gifts and food during their Sidewalk Sale Weekend, featuring face painting, comedy acts, jugglers, acrobats, stilt walkers, magicians, and strolling puppeteers.

November: Southwest Florida Police Unity Tour Golf Tournament. Glen Golf & Country Club in Naples hosts the annual Police Unity Tour golf tournament, with proceeds to benefit the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, and to raise awareness about law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. FORE-the-Kids Golf-a-Thon. Fiddlers Creek Golf Club hosts a tournament to raise funds for Boys & Girls Clubs and to facilitate networking among local players, businessmen and Club members. Beach Treasure Sale. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park sponsors a sale of found treasure to benefit park projects. Admission to the sale is free with park admission.

June: Festival of Great Organ Music. Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts hosts the best organists in southwest Florida for recitals on the 3,604-pipe Casavant organ. Father's Day Festivities at the Garden. On Father's Day, fathers are admitted free to the Naples Botanical Garden when accompanied by family members for an all-morning program beginning with fishing in the West and Deep Lakes, playing with remote control boats in the Brazilian Garden's pool, and fly casting demonstrations on the Kapnick Caribbean Garden Lawn. Family Fun Day. Naples Botanical Garden is where the Naples Area Board of Realtors hosts a family fun festival featuring food, live entertainment and a bounce house for the kids, at the NABOR building. The Back Country Classic. Enjoy one of the Caloosa Catch & Release Tournaments to benefit charities, with admission including dinner, beverages and an afternoon of teams competing to catch the biggest snook, redfish and trout. Held at the Bayfront and other venues in Naples.

July: Summer Jazz on the Gulf. Live jazz musicians and bands provide music every evening throughout the summer months around the Naples Beach Hotel. Bring a lawn chair but leave the cooler at home. Red, White & Bloom Festival. On 4th of July weekend, Naples Botanical Garden hosts a festival featuring live bands, BBQ and beverages, with a spectacular view of the sunset over the garden. July 4th Parade, Arts and Crafts/Boat Show. The Naples Pier, Sugden Regional Park and Fifth Avenue South host a number of festivities during the first week in July. Ice Cream Social. Enjoy a day of swimming, rock climbing, live entertainment, canoeing and kayaking, and free ice cream sundaes, hosted by Sugden Regional Park, towards the end of July.

Downtown Naples New Years Weekend Art Fair: 5th Avenue South is filled with the paintings, sculptures and crafts of local artists in this annual celebration complete with food booths and nationally recognized live musicians. New Year's Eve Party. The Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts hosts an annual midnight champagne reception and party on New Year's Eve, preceded by an entire evening of outstanding, top-name live musical entertainment.

One visit to Naples will make you want to live here. The climate is conducive to fun in the sun so naturally, spectacular golf courses and beautiful beaches top the list of great attractions. The Greater Naples area abounds with interesting, educational and delightful attractions for visitors and residents of all ages. Take a sightseeing cruise, shop sophisticated stores and unique boutiques, and enjoy relaxing luncheons and fine dining. Tour beautiful gardens and historic museums, or attend a philharmonic event. Naples is noted for its fine shops, galleries, restaurants and sidewalk cafes, which combine small town friendliness with big city sophistication.
