With more than 70 tasting rooms and wineries, Santa Cruz wineries is one of the oldest wine regions in America that is still active to this day. There are lots of great attractions in this place. The pinot noir is their main signature wine variety and has garnered top honors among the rest. At the background, the landscape view of the Santa Cruz County is symbolic of the withstanding culture of the region. Built and ran by Lois and Michael Sones, Sones Cellars is a remarkable wine brewer. There are actually numerous wine blends there, for example, their best-selling Petite Syrah, Shiraz/Syrah, Pinot Noir, Zifandel and White Blend. Boon Doon Vineyard is one of the Santa Cruz Wineries in California that was started in 1983 by Randall Grahm. The winery was actually among the first wineries in California to adopt the Rhone varietals which led to the founder being nick named as 'The Rhone Ranger'. This winery is very popular thanks to the untraditional label it produces which also includes various illustrations by Bascove, Ralph Steadman, Gary Taxali and Grady McFerin. In the past few years, the winery has slowly been trying to embrace some obscure wine varieties from Italy, including biodynamic and scrwescaps production. In 1994, Boon Doon Vineyard suffered a great blow when Pierce's disease unceremoniously destroyed their vineyards. Nevertheless, Boony Doon was able to maintain its production of wine by buying grapes from vineyards in California, Europe and Oregon and has today been one of the most notable Santa Cruz wineries. For more than a century now, Boon Doon vineyard has been producing a wide range of delicious, hand crafted wines.

Copious Winery introduces wine lovers to the great skills in wine making brought by Lance Campbell, who has worn more than 300 state and international awards. At this winery, they blend the traditional wine styles with state of art styles of wine making thereby producing wines that have intense varietal features, elegant and superbly balanced wines.
