What Made Our Holidays to Las Playas de Las Americas, Tenerife Unforgettable?

Tenerife has always been a place that my friends and I have wanted to visit. Once we had the chance, we immediately booked ourselves on a flight to Tenerife and pre-booked our rooms in advance. With all of that taken care of, we set out for our holidays to Tenerife with high spirits and great anticipation.

I still smile to myself inwardly when I remember that day. Most of us were so worked up over the holiday that none of us caught sleep while some managed to catch a few during the flight only. Nevertheless, people were so hyped up the moment the plane touched down in Tenerife Airport. Who would not be hyped up when everyone is so worked up? We all wanted to do the same thing; soak up some sun the Tenerife way. The sun was so hot and high that it really egged us on to the beach. We still need to drop by our hotels first, though.

Choosing a hotel was not an easy feat, and it was a long while before we could finally decide. In the end, because we wanted a luxurious 5-star hotel, we picked the Villa Cortes, located in the Playa de Las Americas region of Tenerife. The Villa Cortes is a compound of hotel buildings, with the available rooms numbering 151 in total. Though the area had other establishments around the Villa Cortes, the hotel compound itself had five bars and five restaurants each. We checked in and decided to sample one of the restaurants, where we were served a sumptuous meal prepared by one of the best chefs in the hotel. That was what we needed to get a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. That was when we realised that was just the beginning of a wonderful week in Tenrife.

We decided to go with Playa de las Americas for a reason - it is the "party capital" of the island. For people like us, there is not a holiday in any place that is complete without sampling the night life. Night after night, we found ourselves in one bar or two in the Veronicas, a full kilometer decked out with night clubs and places that offer live music, drinks and interaction with other individuals. Our holiday to Tenerife was basically a week full of partying, great food and meeting new people who are also out on a holiday like us!

Of course, there is also the beach. The Villa Cortes made it easy for us to head over to the beach and the seaside if we felt like it. It simply takes a few minutes' walk from our hotel room for us to reach the white sands that Tenerife is known for. If we wanted to dive into the ocean or just indulge in the sun, we only had to walk for a couple of minutes or so.

There are so many other places that holiday-goers should check out when visiting Tenerife. What you should do is take a look highly recommended site out for more information. They should be able to help you out when planning your luxury holidays to Tenerife 2013. Be sure to have a good one when you are there!
