When you consider becoming a bartender your bound to ask- How much do bartenders make? Unfortunately this question is not easily answered. A Bartender's income varies a lot for a few reasons.

A bartender's income comes from both an hourly wage and tips. Even though they earn an hourly wage, most of their cash comes from tips. The best way to make the most money from bartending is to land a job in a great location.

Bartender Salary

A bartender's hourly wage usually ranges from $8 to $10.

Despite knowing a bartender's hourly wage, this wont answer our question- how much do bartenders make? To answer this question you must look at how much a bartender brings in with tips.

Bartender Tips

Most of the time you won't be concerned with how much you make with your hourly wage. Most of your money will come from people tipping you. How much does a bartender make from tips? This really depends on where they are tending bar.

This is why the location of the bar is so important. Tips can be very different from one bar to another.

A bartender can earn up to $400 dollars a night. It's not unheard of. They can also make up to $600 dollars a shift if they are tending bar in an awesome location.

So...How much do bartenders make? yearly?

Unfortunatley you wont be making $500 a night just starting out. Bartending is a skill that takes time to get good at.

Despite this it is possible to work your way up and land a great paying job.

If you're working in a five-star restaurant, a super popular club, a fancy expensive resort, or special jobs like a wedding, you'll be making a lot more money.

The sky is the limit on how much you can make as a bartender. Focus on increasing your skill and working your way up to the high paying jobs and you'll be raking in the money.
